Welcome Letter

On 22 June 2020, the Alliance of Poverty Reduction and Development (APRD) was officially approved by the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) which is a non-profit, non-governmental international scientific organization founded in 2018 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 36 other international science and education institutions from around the world. APRD currently consists of 14 founding members from 10 countries and regions. It aims to promote collaborations and academic exchanges in the fields of poverty reduction and sustainable development among the universities and research institutes in the "Belt and Road" region.

APRD is delighted to announce its inaugural conference with the theme of Global Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development. Internationally and nationally renowned scholars will be invited to present and discuss their insights at the conference. More than 100 researchers from China and around the world are anticipated to participate.

Preliminary Schedule

1. Inaugural conference of APRD, ANSO. Arrangements include introducing the background, structure, membership and purpose of APRD, discussing working plan and initiating the “Research Plan of the Poverty Reduction and Development in the Belt and Road Region”.

2. Unveiling ceremony for the founding of APRD, for the “Demonstration Base of ‘China-South Asia & Southeast Asia’ Cross-border Poverty Reduction and Development” and for the “Alliance Base of China-Central Asia & West Asia Poverty Reduction and Development”. 

3. International conference of Global Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development. Content includes invited keynote speech, reports of poverty reduction in Belt and Road region, academic presentations.

4. Field survey and excursion of poverty reduction in Southeast China

“一带一路”减贫与发展联盟成立大会暨

“全球可持续减贫与发展”学术研讨会

背景与目标

2020年6月22日，“一带一路”国际科学组织联盟（ANSO）批准成立“一带一路”减贫与发展联盟（Alliance of Poverty Reduction and Development, APRD）。该联盟由中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所、中国科学院精准扶贫评估研究中心联合发展中国家科学院、波兰科学院农村与农业发展研究所、新西兰奥克兰大学、匈牙利科学院太空与地球科学研究所等“一带一路”地区14家科研机构与政府组织共同发起成立。联盟旨在开展“一带一路”地区减贫与发展的国际合作研究与技术研发，推进中国与“一带一路”沿线国家的扶贫开发经验和模式共享，开展科技扶贫交流与培训，探索建设“中国-南亚东南亚”跨境减贫与发展示范区、“中国-中亚西亚”国家减贫与发展联盟基地，打造“一带一路”国际减贫与发展合作新模式。

1.“ANSO‘一带一路’减贫与发展联盟”成立大会，包括介绍联盟成立背景、组织机构与人员分工，讨论联盟宗旨与工作计划，发起“一带一路减贫与发展研究计划”。

2. “ANSO‘一带一路’减贫与发展联盟”揭牌；中国-南亚东南亚跨境减贫与发展示范基地、中国-中亚西亚国家减贫与发展联盟基地揭牌。

3. 全球可持续减贫与发展学术研讨会，包括特邀大会报告、“一带一路”地区典型国家减贫报告、学术报告。

4. 中国西南地区可持续减贫路径与典型模式调研。

会议形式与规模

方案一：若疫情防控允许，采用线下会议形式；

方案二：若疫情防控限制，采用国际学者线上、国内学者线下主会场的形式；线下参会人数控制在100人以内
